How to Address Your Copier Return
Are you at the end of your copier lease? Looking to send it back according to your terms and conditions of your lease agreement?
There are some things to consider before returning your copier. This should be a simple process, if you follow some simple tips.
- Make sure you give the proper notice within the specified window of your intent to return the copier. Failing on this step can cause your copier lease to automatically renew.
- Make sure you look at the swap out soon enough. There is a big supply chain issue right now. So if you wait too long, you could potentially be without a copier at all.
- Insure the shipment. If the copier is damaged in freight, you will be responsible for it. Make sure to ensure the send back of the copier to the warehouse.
The main thing is to make sure you have a plan. If your lease doesn’t expire for a few years, put a task on your calendar 60 to 90 days before the end of the lease to give yourself the time needed for this process to play out.
